Do Not Use Flight Centre

"Book with flight centre if you want to pay crazy prices! We discovered it is so much cheaper if you book via the hotels website or via the airlines website. The commission is ridiculous. All they care about is making more mony for themselves, then actually helping you plan a wonderful holiday. We even tried to make adjustments and the fee is $350 for flight changes and $300 for accommdation changes which is fine, But we then discovered that we were booked into some hotels that were Non Refundable and domestic flights that where all Non Refundable. So even if something came up we were always going to lose out. I am so disgusted with flight centre and they're staff. Book with them if you have money that you want to throw around and waste"


Cheated, Defrauded,Robbed!!!!

"We are Pensioners who have Special Needs. Young inexperienced Flight Centre Person who tells lies to keep her job at our expense. Booked a Cruise for 3 Adults, special requests for no Bunks.We got the smallest Cabin with a Bunk. Did not go on 11 night cruise, it would have been a Nightmare. The Cabin was so small and cramped for three adults. Now the young Flight Centre Employee denys we had special requests for no Bunks. I have the request in writing and they will not refund of over $4,400.oo.
Flight centre failed us the elderly but they take our money. Shame shame
Don't trust them they are not worth the paper or their commercials."

Poor service and over priced

"Wish I read these comments earlier. I went to student price because of their claim to price beat. But when I brought them quotes, they told me the quotes weren't genuine because there are hidden cost I wasn't aware of. My agent said he was an airfare specialist so I believed him. However the tickets they ended up booking was $1000!!!! more expensive then I could've booked on the internet for 2 people by myself. When I questioned my agent, he simply said 'if you wanted the cheaper price, you should've booked on the internet'. Well right I will next time!"

"Booked 2tickets to singapore with Student flights in auckland, the guy was so keen to sell, he didnt look over my dates which were on my enquiry form and i had written them infront of him, when he booked it all and i signed, i notcied hed got the complete wrong date..wrong month even. he was so busy chatting and telling me his stories, and even told me he couldnt multitask, when i went back to show him the incorrect dates, he actually said,' i wish it was my fault but it was yours!' 'i dont know where we got that date from' -not me!!! it was the travel agent not concentrating basically. and i am going to have to charge you for having to change your dates now! clearly no customer service skills and no bloody brains!"



European Honeymoon gone wrong

"My husband and i used escape travel at Eastgardens to book our travel by train, hire car and plane for a 5 week honeymoon to France, Germany, Belgium and Austria. We also bought two Trafalgar tours in France & Germany which weren't too bad. The service at Escape Travel was ridiculous, we would often have to wait while 1 CSR was servicing all clientele. Several of our bookings which we confirmed several times were botched and quite badly by bookings made from airports and train stations. One was especially bad as i was heavily pregnant and we had to wait around with no seating for a hire car that never arrived. We had also paid for this service. We spent a total of $28,000 at Escape Travel and felt we were sorely ripped off. We will never use them again."

"I gave Escape Travel my correct passport details, credit card details and they consistantly spelt my name incorrectly I made the fatal mistake of signing there email without checking all the details. Escape Travel shifted all the blame to me saying I had to pay extra for changing one letter in my name that they spelt wrong. No apology, just pay more, or travel with name spelt incorrectly. So I will not be using Escape Travel ever again, nor will anyone I know. So beware of anything in writing with this mob."
